Earthkeepers® City Premium 6-inch Boot Review
Since we launched the Earthkeepers City Collection a few years back it has been a staple in my closet. Versatile enough to wear for almost any occasion in the outdoors, while stylish enough to drop a good pair of denim over and head out in the city. This season I really like the burnished dark brown with the mix of materials in leather and suede on the upper. The fact that there is a side zip on the boot is really cool and convenient. You get the look of a lace-up without having to do it every time. I walk the city a lot so besides the style, the best part for me has to be what you can’t see. The footbed is leather lined with an anti-fatigue technology providing all-day comfort for the streets or the trails at work.
When I first started talking to Marcus about this project, I thought how can we tell a brand story that speaks to Timberland’s outdoor heritage, but does it in an urban environment. The answer was literally in my own backyard. The Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto where I get to go to work every day with Timberland. Being able to work and shoot alongside this talented group of people was the best part of the day for me. Sharing in the creative dialogue and always trying to get the shot was a thrill. I’ve walked these trails a dozen times but never took a moment to notice it’s true beauty until I did it through the lens of a camera.
